Top of Europe + Titlis

Itinerary :

 

Day 1: Arrival in Interlaken

Arrival in Interlaken by train in 2nd class from any Swiss border or Swiss airport. Rest of the day at your own.

 

Day 2: Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch (2h)

A full day excursion from Interlaken up to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Travel on three different mountain railways to reach the highest railway station in Europe located at 3454 m/11’333 ft. The railway journey leads through the famous Swiss mountain peaks of Eiger and the Mönch with intermediate stations at Eigerwand and Eismeer known for big their large windows offering visitors the beautiful view from the Eiger North Face and of the Aletsch Glacier. At Jungfraujoch, visitors have the access to an alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rocks. Some of the major attractions include the viewing platform at Sphinx Observatory offering a commanding view of Europe's longest glacier - Aletsch Glacier. The other attractions include the Gletscherplast (Ice Palace or Ice cave), Ice Plateau, Alpine Sensation, Jungfrau Panorama, Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven and Snow Fun Park. The facility also has several takeaway and specialty restaurants like the Bollywood Restaurant that offers Indian Food. The latest attraction include a travelling option from Grindelwald to Eigergletscher by Eiger Express which is the most modern tricable gondola of the world. Return back to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.

 

Day 3:  Lucerne (Luzern) to Interlaken (2h)

Check out. Proceed to train station to embark on a panoramic rail journey over the Brünig Pass to Lucerne. Rest of the day at leisure for optional excursions. Overnight in Lucerne.

 

Day 4:  Lucerne to Mount Titlis  (1h10)

A full day excursion to Mount Titlis. From Lucerne board the train to the mountain monastery village of Engelberg. A short walk to the valley cable car station where you board the 8-seater cable car TitlisXpress directly to Stand station. From here board the world’s first revolving cable car Titlis Rotair which takes you straight up to the summit of Mount Titlis at 3020 m. The other attractions at the summit include the Glacier Park for snow fun activities,  IceFlyer chairlift and the thrills on the Titlis Cliff Walk which is a spectacular suspension bridge at a height of 3041 m. Not to be missed is a visit to the 5000 year old glacier cave which is bathed in a dim turquoise-blue light. The facility here has a choice of multi-cuisine gourmet and take away restaurants.  Besides some chocolate and souvenir shops, Mt. Titlis welcomes you to the highest photo studio in the world where you can have your photograph taken in traditional Swiss costume. Travel back to Luzern. Overnight in Lucerne.

 

Day 5:  Departure from Lucerne

Check out after breakfast. proceed to the train station to board train to any Swiss border or airport for the individual onward journey.

 

Wearing a protective mask is mandatory for travelers aged 12 and over on all means of public transport and in the public areas.
