Itinerary:
1st day:
Arrival in Zurich by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Time at your disposal. Overnight in Zurich.
2nd day:
Train journey to Zermatt. Zermatt is located at the foot of the Matterhorn. It’s a world without cars. Electric cars and horse drawn sleighs are the only transport
allowed. It’s the perfect Alpine resort for rest and relaxation. Overnight in Zermatt.
3rd day:
The excursion by cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat will take your breath away. You will have a superb panoramic view of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and other
snow-capped peaks rising to above 4000 m/13’000 ft. Overnight in Zermatt.
4th day:
Today you board the Glacier Express which is one of the greatest train journeys in the world. You travel from Zermatt to St. Moritz. A 71/2 hour railway journey
across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2’033 metres in altitude. Optional lunch – if required, please indicate on the booking
request. Overnight in St. Moritz.
5th day:
On day 5 you will explore the Bernina Express. First you take the train from St. Moritz to Tirano. In Tirano you will change to the Bernina Express bus and ride
until Lugano. Today you will see part of the UNESCO World Heritage route. Overnight in Lugano.
6th day:
You will leave Switzerland today and travel by train to Milan in Italy in order to discover the Expo 2015. Overnight in Milan.
7th day:
Full day for exploring the Expo 2015 in Milan. You will get a 2 days ticket so that you have plenty of time to visit the different exhibitions. Overnight in Milan.
8th day:
Continue your journey at your own request.
