Switzerland & Blacka Forest

Itinerary

Day-1:

Welcome to Switzerland. Rail transfer to Lucerne, the gateway to central Switzerland, sited on Lake Lucerne, is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops, the beautiful lakeside setting and the nearby excursion mountains of the Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn, the town is a destination for many individuals on their journey through central Switzerland.

Later explore places on boat cruise. An excursion to Central Switzerland is just not complete without a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne. Whether a Lunch Cruise on the modern MS Diamant or a romantic cruise at sunset on an antique paddle steamer – it’s a must. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day-2:

Enjoy Mount Titlis and en-route visit engelberg. At the summit of the 3000-metre mountain, a breathtaking panorama as well as other highlights await: various restaurants with sun terraces, the Glacier Cave (free admission), the “Titlis Cliff Walk” – Europe’s highest suspension footbridge – and of course eternal snow and ice. On the glacier chairlift “Ice Flyer” visitors literally fly over the Titlis glacier to the Glacier Park, a free attraction. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day-3:

In afternoon enjoy a fleet of 14 boats, two of which are paddle steamers, navigate Lakes Thun and Brienz. The delightful lakes in the middle of the imposing mountain landscapes of the Bernese Oberland offer a unique way of experiencing unrivalled natural beauty in a completely relaxed way – no matter the weather.

Proceed to Schilthorn. At 2970 metres, the Schilthorn attracts visitors with a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view of the “Swiss skyline” including Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and a delicious meal in the revolving restaurant Piz Gloria. Train from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, then by PostBus to the valley station Stechelberg

Day-4:

Today enjoy Jungfraujoch via grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. For more than 100 years, the Jungfrau railway has been making its journey to Europe’s highest-altitude railway station at 3454 metres a.s.l. – right at the heart of the UNESCO heritage site “Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch”. All through the year, the cog railway runs steeply up through a tunnel to the Jungfraujoch from Kleine Scheidegg.

The tunnel leading up from the station Eigergletscher is seven kilometres in length and was built between 1896 and 1912. One stop within the tunnel offers spectacular views onto the glacier world outside through windows in the Eiger North Face. On the summit, visitors are greeted by a high-Alpine wonder world made of ice, snow and rocks. All of this can be marvelled at from the viewing platforms “Sphinx” and “Plateau” on the Aletsch glacier or from the “Ice Palace”. Return & Overnight in Interlaken

Day-5:

Train transfer to Zurich: Culturally vibrant, efficiently run and attractively set at the meeting of river and lake, Zürich is regularly recognised as one of the world's most liveable cities. Long known as a savvy, hard-working financial centre, Switzerland's largest and wealthiest metropolis has also emerged in the 21st century as one of Central Europe's hippest destinations, with an artsy, post-industrial edge that is epitomised in its exuberant summer Street Parade.

Overnight in Zurich.
