    Depart Zurich at 8:30 AM and travel to Lucerne. Visit the Lion Monument and walk across the historic wooden bridge, followed by leisure time for shopping and sightseeing. Continue to Engelberg and ascend Mt. Titlis by cable car into the high Alpine glacier region, including a ride aboard the revolving ROTAIR gondola. In the afternoon, cross the Brünig Pass into the Bernese Oberland and visit Brienz, famous for its woodcarving tradition. Continue to Interlaken at the foot of Jungfrau Mountain. Overnight at a First Class Hotel in Interlaken. Dinner is on your own.

    Tuesday – Interlaken–Berne–Gruyères–Geneva
    Depart Interlaken in the morning and travel along Lake Thun to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Explore the historic Old Town, including the Clock Tower, Kramgasse and Cathedral of St. Vincent. Continue south through scenic dairy farmland to Gruyères, a picturesque hilltop town with a medieval castle. Visit a local milk-product factory before continuing through the Vaud Riviera to Geneva. Overnight at a Superior Tourist Class Hotel in Geneva. Dinner is on your own.

    Wednesday – Geneva–Montreux–Zermatt

    Begin with a city tour of Geneva, including the lakeside parks, Town Hall and the European seat of the United Nations. Later, travel to Lausanne and Montreux, passing the historic Chillon Castle. Continue through the Valais and Rhône Valley, surrounded by orchards and vineyards. At Täsch, board the train to Zermatt, located at the foot of the Matterhorn. Dinner and overnight at a First Class Hotel in Zermatt.

    Thursday – Zermatt–Nufenen Pass–Lugano
    Spend the morning at leisure in Zermatt. Explore the traditional village, enjoy shopping and relaxation, or optionally take the cogwheel train to Gornergrat for spectacular views of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. In the afternoon, travel by train to Täsch and continue by bus across the breathtaking Nufenen Pass to Airolo. From Airolo, return to Zurich by bus or train depending on group size, arriving at approximately 6:30 PM. If the Nufenen Pass is closed due to winter conditions at the beginning or end of the season, an alternative route may be used.
