ITINERARY:
1st day:
Arrival in Zurich by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. overnight in Zurich.
2nd day:
Today you travel by train from Zurich main station via winterthur to Schaffhausen to see the famous rhine Falls – Europe's larg- est waterfall. overnight in Zurich.
3rd day:
Rail trip from Zurich to lucerne. Day at leisure to enjoy and explore the picturesque city of lucerne. overnight in lucerne.
4th day:
Excursion to Mount Titlis – at 3020 m / 10’000 ft. From lucerne the train takes you to the mountain monestry village Engelberg where you board a gondola, which takes you up to the Trübsee. you continue your trip by another gondola to Stand and finally the first revolving Titlis rotair cablecar takes you up to Mount Titlis. For a spectacular, close-up insight into a glacier, visit the glacier cave and ride the ice Flyer chairlift. overnight in lucerne.
5th day:
Rail trip from lucerne to berne. The Swiss capital, which is surrounded by the beautiful river aare is an appealing city and has a lot to offer. Take your time to explore the differ- ent facets of the city. For example at the Ein- stein house or the paul Klee Centre, which show the work of two of berne’s famous former inhabitants.overnight in berne.
6th day:
Excursion from berne up to the Jungfrau- joch – Top of Europe. From berne you can travel by train via interlaken to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North wall. The Jungfraujoch – at 3454 m/11’333 ft the highest railway station in Europe. breathtaking views of the aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the alps. Don’t miss the Snow Fun park and the ice palace. overnight in berne.
7th day:
Rail trip from berne to Geneva. Day at leisure in Geneva. This multi-faceted city of humane dimensions has all a metropolis can offer. 8th day:
